Virtual Care Team FAQs
Q: What does a virtual care team do?
A: Your virtual care team consists of US licensed veterinarians and vet technicians. All appointments are with veterinarians and our vet technicians are available for customer support. Through the platform, pet parents can receive advice on the best next steps for their pet, and when legally allowed and medically appropriate, receive medications delivered to their home.
Q: How does a telehealth appointment work?
A: Based on where the pet parent is based, they will see the option to book an advice appointment or an advice + medication appointment. If the pet parent is in a state where veterinarians are not legally allowed to prescribe via video, then pet parents will see the option to select either a video or chat appointment for advice. If the pet parent lives in a state where a vet is allowed to legally prescribe, they will have the option to schedule a video appointment.
When a pet parent books an appointment, the pet parent will receive an email and SMS confirmation. 5 minutes before their appointment start time, the pet parent will receive a reminder SMS with a link to join the appointment.
All appointments are done with a US licensed veterinarian who specializes in the client’s pet’s species.

Q: What are examples of issues that can be addressed through an advice appointment?
A: General pet care questions, general medical or husbandry questions, triage or first aid advice, training and behavior questions, questions about diet and nutrition.
Q: Is it possible to receive a prescription?

Q: How will pet parents know their telehealth appointment has been accepted/confirmed?
A: They will receive an email and a text message with their appointment confirmation and details.
Q: How do pet parents join a telehealth appointment?
A: 5 minutes before the appointment start time, an SMS is sent to the pet parent with a link to join the appointment. Alternatively, the pet parent can join from the link in the telehealth appointment confirmation email.
Q: What if someone has trouble connecting with the vet, scheduling an appointment, or other technical issues?
A: Customer support staff are available from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. ET to help walk pet parents through tech challenges. Pet parents can contact the customer support team at support@helloralphie.com or by calling (917) 259-0518.
Q: Can telehealth appointments be canceled? How?
A: A telehealth appointment can be canceled by going to the upcoming appointments section and clicking on the button that says “Cancel Appointment.” Please note that appointments must be canceled with more than 12 hours notice in order to receive a refund. Pet parents can also cancel appointments by reaching out to Hello Ralphie’s customer support team. Pet parents can contact support by logging into the platform and clicking the blue icon on the bottom right corner of the Appointments screen. Q: Can appointments be rescheduled? How?
A: To reschedule an appointment, contact support, and someone will change the appointment date/time as needed. Pet parents can contact support by logging into the platform and clicking the blue icon on the bottom right corner of the Appointments screen. Pet parents can also contact the customer support team at support@helloralphie.com or by calling (917) 259-0518.
Q: Will the payment for a canceled appointment be refunded?
A: If the pet parent purchased an ad-hoc appointment and is not a subscriber, then a refund will be issued if the appointment is canceled over 12 hours prior to the appointment time, or if the appointment is canceled due to the vet being unable to keep the appointment. Refunds usually take 4-8 business days to be processed.
Q: How does the subscription work?
A: Pet parents can purchase an annual subscription for $149. The pet parent will be charged at the time when they enroll in the subscription. As part of the subscription, pet parents receive unlimited advice appointments and 15% off advice + medication appointments. 1 month before their subscription expires, pet parents will receive an email reminding them to re-enroll in the subscription.
